Dr. Zeeshan Afzal completed his dermatology fellowship in 2018. He is skilled at the innovative use of dermatoscopy, a tool used by dermatologists to diagnose various skin conditions, avoiding unnecessary surgical procedures. Dr. Afzal has a passion for dermatology and recognizes the great need for more dermatologist in the Rio Grande Valley. He hopes to use his dermatology fellowship experience and expertise to benefit his community. Dr. Afzal serves as Clinical Assistant Professor for the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine where he teaches dermatology to residents and Physician Assistant students affiliated with the URTGV. His goal is to provide evidence based high quality dermatology care to the Rio Grande Valley.
