Miguel Buhat
Miguel Buhat is a Family Nurse Practitioner that joined Doctor’s Dermatology in 2021. He was born in Manila, Philippines and raised in Cheltenham, Pennsylvania before moving to McAllen, Texas in his teenage years. He attended South Texas High School of Health Professions in Mercedes, Texas before graduating with his Bachelor’s degree in the Science of Nursing from University of Texas – Pan American, and obtained his degree in 2014. He worked in the Emergency Room as a Registered Nurse for 7 years, where he initially met and worked with Dr. Zeeshan Afzal. He completed his Master’s Degree in the Science of Nursing from the University of Texas – Arlington. Soon after, he acquired his Board-Certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. He has since been practicing as a dermatology nurse practitioner at Doctor’s Dermatology, and enjoys working alongside Dr. Zeeshan Afzal and staff.
He endeavors to be solicitous about the welfare of his patients and strives to provide outstanding dermatologic care and understanding to his patients’ needs. He is passionate about his work, truly wants the best for his patients, and is committed in providing high-quality dermatologic care for the people of the Rio Grande Valley. Outside of the clinic, Miguel loves spending time with his wife and raising two beautiful daughters. He loves watching football during football season, and enjoys playing basketball recreationally.
